//Operations Manual for Wastewater Facilities City & County of Honolulu

This job included all of the electrical aspects of the operations manual for the Honouliuli WWTP and Sand Island WWTP, including descriptions of the existing conditions and operations. The manual was required as part of the General Consent Decree with the EPA. The goal of the manual was to provide the supervisors with a global manual on the plant operations, including normal operations and emergency operations, such as high flows or the failure of key components of the process. MK Engineers provided the electrical portions of this report while Fukunaga and Associates and Engineering Concepts Inc. provided the civil/mechanical portions. Limited field work was conducted to verify the manual and operations. The electrical scope of work covered the primary, secondary, and emergency power systems and, to a limited extent, controls and SCADA. The scope included field work and interviews of the operators and staff.
