Harden Electrical Distribution System

This project (the first of five phases) will replace selected main base overhead 13.8kV primary and secondary electrical distribution systems with underground 13.8kV primary and secondary electrical distribution systems. It will also include a new substation at Orote Power Plant with two 25/30/40 MVA transformers with automatic load tap changers and indoor switchgear that will replace the existing T11 (14 MVA) and T12 (12.5 MVA) transformers. In addition, two remote switching stations will be constructed to replace the existing Cold Storage Substation and the abandoned SRF Switching Station. Tie feeders will be routed from the new Orote Substation to the new Cold-Storage SS and from Orote Substation to the new SRF SS. Spare ducts will be provided for future feeder upgrades.
